Paris Fashion Week has officially started for Les incorrigibles! Mélanie and Laurène have been able to attend their first event yesterday: the Bernard Chandran womenswear collection SS16.
If you don’t know much about Bernard Chandran here is what you need to remember: it’s a womenswear brand with a Malaysian heart and European aesthetic. The man himself is an icon of the industry – having trained at The Paris American Academy and Pattern Making at L’union Des Chambres Syndicales Parisiennes, Bernard went on to achieve accolades spanning some 15 years in the business.
For the first time, the Fashion House has presented its collection as part of PFW (their fashion show is in London during LFW). The event took place in the beautiful Hôtel du Louvre in a large room. We’ve always been big fans of their work, especially their last collection, so we were really excited to go to this presentation. Every look was beautiful. The long and short dresses, the shorts, the oversized jackets … But what we loved the most about the collection is probably the colors and fabrics they’ve worked with. This shade of coral/Pink-ish and yellow is without a doubt what makes their work so special and beautiful. It’s also important to notice the incredible neckline of the dresses as it brings sexiness to the entire piece and originality.
Stay tuned on the blog as we will be attending more fashion shows!
